St. Mary's Catholic Church is the voting place only for the Republican primary.

The Democrat primary voting is held at the Wimberley Community Center.

Why bother voting in the Democratic Primary if there are no contested races?

Vote in the Republican Primary and vote for Sam Brannon.

Wow, I heard Sally Caldwell just opened a vein. Brannon got beat like a drum.

Sincere thanks to the Indies and Democrats who crossed party lines to vote in the Rethuglican primary for Brannon and Ratliff. Your help was appreciated, even if we did not succeed this time.

It sure got quiet over here on the Roundup! By now you Conley haters should understand just how small and insignificant you are. I believe the hate and vitriol expressed here helped to get "get out vote" by Conley's base constituency. Thanks to all that participated!

I will bet you Conley got solid support from business owners and the real estate crowd. They love his pro-growth agenda. Ka-ching! What is disturbing is that they probably could care less about his sub-par M.O. as a public official. Conley did not win. The chance for good government lost.

Dear Woebegone,

I pretty sure Conley did win, big.

I am so mad at all the voters who did NOT vote in this election! I have heard there are 30,000 registered voters in precinct 3 and only about 5,000 took the time to vote. How pathetic, with how days of early voting? and election day! Small groups of special interests were allowed to control this election. Is it any wonder that ethics and any hope of honest local government have gone to hell in a hand basket. We must implement mandatory voting and start fining all those people who do not vote. They are worse than criminals. They are dragging our democracy and country into the ground into the hands of special interests. They should be charged with High Crimes and Misdemeanors. And oh, btw, I am finished with the democrats in Hays county, wimdems, the san marcos dems, all of them specially the wimdems. Wishy-washy, disoriented disorganized and ineffective windbags who spend more time reading fairy tales than studying strategy, the lot of them. I have never liked the republicans in this county either.

It is time the Democrats, the LIBERALS, in Wimberley and Hays County actually DO GET ORGANIZED and begin to fight this reactionary Republican movement.

We need to fight FOR public education, not vouchers and private schools (most likely CHURCH schools being supported with our tax money) and we need to fight FOR equal rights for all citizens and we need to fight FOR universal healthcare.

ObamaCare is just a bandaid trying to fix a wrecked healthcare system that is still run by insurance companies. We need to free ourselves from those insurance companies and their profit-motive access to health care. EVERYONE should have equal access to quality health care that is truly affordable. Being healthy should not depend on how much money you have.

Yes, people need to vote or they allow others to determine their futures.

Time for the local LIBERALS to come out of hiding and say it loud and say it proud. We want open, honest and progressive government at all levels.

Democrats of Hays County. Time to stand up for what is right and stop rolling over to Republican tyranny, just to be nice. See where that just got you?

Those crazy Republicans hate everything we hold dear to our hearts and have fought for our whole lives like civil rights for women and minorites, equal rights for gay people and working for a world where war is not the answer.
