Pct. 3 Constable NOT charging district to patrol school zones

Note: We are informed that rumors started flying following an incident in the Jacob's Well Elementary School parking area last week that caused a real traffic problem – more than the usual at that persistently chancy location. Constable Ayers' office started traffic patrol this week (at FM 2325 and the school), and will stay on it through the end of the school year.

Hays County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office is hearing rumors that the Constable’s Office is charging the School Districts money to patrol the school zones.

This is of course untrue.

The Hays County Constable Offices are among several law enforcement offices, funded by tax dollars, that help keep our roads safe, and patrolling school crossings/zones is just one of the many services they offer.

For more information on Constable duties, please see http://www.co.hays.tx.us/index.php/law-enforcement/constables/

Bubba I guess you are not a parent. If you were you would realize that it is a privilege to be able to take your children to school. Parents need all the time they can get to share with their kids. So we have a short traffic tie up in the morning and afternoons so what. It is worth it to be able to share time with our kids. If you don't like it stay home during the morning and afternoon hour that we are taking our kids to school and picking them up.
By the way our kids are not brats they are children. It is attitudes like yours that cause kids to run afoul of the law. If you don't let kids know they are valued and loved then they don't behave.
I know that you will rant and rave against this blog and say I am a know nothing thing whippersnapper parent but guess what I don't care and I will continue to take my children to school and pick them up because I love them and care about what they are doing.
You can take a long walk off a short pier.

It is attitudes like yours, Mommy, that create spoiled little snot-nosed kids with an entitlement mentality that expect everything to be handed to them. They will grow up to be a drain on society like you. What do you think the school busses were purchased for? It looks like we just pissed away more tax money on so-called education which I prefer to call taxpayer funded "Day Care".

I cannot believe this commentary.

'Brats? Snot-nosed? Drain on the economy like you?"

What brought THIS on? We are just talking about schoolkids coming and going to school the way kids have for years...in their parent's cars.

Not exactly a new idea, it's the way I got to school 50-something years ago and I turned out okay.

I guess you think riding the bus builds character?

Buy the way Bubba I am a professional with a Masters Degree and not a drain on the economy. I probably pay more taxes in a year than you ever have.
Also not every child can ride a bus. Some do not live on a bus route and others are not physically able to board a school bus.
My children are not spoiled and are becoming or have become healthy, productive members of society. Who pay taxes so people like you can sit at your computer and complain about the working members of society.

Traffic flow is nonexistant during drop off and pick up. The design of the driveway was clearly fouled up from day one. Avoid it at all costs.

Made worse by those leaving the school who run the stop sign.

I know "Bubba" was making a joke.

You seem new to this Blog. You must learn to read between the lines and realize that the more outrageous someone is, the more likely they are engaging in parody - or they are just plain idiots and not worth responding to.

In other words, your sincerity is making you waste your time commenting on insanity.

And btw, Anonymous of May 7, 8:44 is NOT Bubba. See, I make my point a second time.

Thank you, Truth, for clarifying. At first I took "Bubba's" post seriously too. But once you pointed out it is a joke and satirical, I realized it has to be. Know any German? Think what "Bubba's" last name Scheizkopf translates to. Koph is head, does that help?
