Surprise, surprise – Perry serious about White House bid
Note: Here's a related and very interesting report posted this afternoon by the Texas Tribune about some Texas Republican heavy hitters who say Perry made a big mistake in introducing the Sanctuary Cities legislation (SB9) on immigration in the special session after it failed in the regular session . . . “If you want to find out if we can actually survive deporting these people, go look at what has happened in Arizona. They are in the biggest economic collapse of history,” he said. “Apartments are empty, houses are being repossessed and strip centers are half empty. It’s terrible.”

Texas Governor Rick Perry is “serious” about making a run for the White House, sources close to Perry tell CBS News.
Perry has been talking with financial backers for the past week on a possible bid and even held a conference call earlier in the week to discuss the matter, the sources told CBS’ Jan Crawford. But Perry was reluctant to run for the nomination without key advisers, including his former campaign manager Rob Johnson and his top political consultant Dave Carney, both of whom were working on the presidential campaign of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Perry thinking he could run anything other than an old 19th century Texas plantation is delusional psychopathy.
He would be wearing a dunce cap in any state other than Texas (well, maybe Florida).
Practically the Newt's whole campaign staff has resigned, and so mayhap Carney and the other guy will return to Perry.
Maybe there will be a Barbie (Palin) and Ken (Perry) duo for the Republican nominees for prez.
UPDATE: Perry spokesman Mark Miner said that CBS report isn’t accurate. “It’s not true,” he said
Perry and Palin should run as the Republican ticket who sleeps together in the White House. That would alleviate any chance of a sex scandal. Todd won't mind because we know who's boss.
If they win, they could appoint to their Cabinet: Larry Craig, David Vitter, John Ensign, Newt Gingrich, Mark Foley, Bob Allen, Glenn Murphy Jr. Randy Hopper, and of course Mark Sanford.

Call this the 2012 "Conservative Predator Campaign."
Perry as President would be great. We finally got a black President, why not now a gay right wing president?
The Republican Presidential Candidates Debate being held in New Hampshire will be shown on CNN tonight (June 13) from 7-9 p.m. (our time). Gov. Perry will not participate since he is not yet an announced candidate.
Perry will speak before NY Republicans in Manhattan on Tuesday (June 14, Flag Day).
Maybe someone will mug Perry in NYC?
