May the best, most honest candidates win!

Good luck to the voters who we know have worked hard to get informed and stay informed; and to the candidates and their supporters who have worked so hard to get their message out. May the best, most honest candidates win!

Election Day is upon us. Please exercise your right and privilege (and duty) to choose your public office representatives. Polls will be open until 7 p.m. Check the chart for voting locations. You must vote at the polling location in your election precinct. For example, if you reside in Wimberley voting precinct 333, vote at the Wimberley Community Center; voting precinct 337 at St. Mary's Catholic Church; voting precinct 440 at the Henly Baptist Church west of Dripping Springs. Look for your precinct number on your voter registration card. If you are registered to vote but have misplaced your card, call the county elections office at 512.393.7310 for your precinct number. You can still vote, just show the poll workers a picture ID (driver's license).

Thanks for your continued great coverage of elections in Hays county. If anyone says that they didn't get a chance to get to know the candidates and issues then they didn't access the Hays County Round Up. Win or lose, thanks again.

I am a conservative Republican. I never thought I would ever say this, but The Roundup's election coverage was the most informative and least biased. Thank you, Bob, for all you do. Great job!

The Barton Syndicate is finished. Rose says he's out for the count. Hello Will Conley. It's a great day for honest government in Hays County! Thanks Roundup for your straight up reporting.

Every Republican that ran for office in Hays County won. The only Democrats that won didn’t have Republican opponents. That is except for old Lloyd; the fruits and nuts in Travis County pulled his bacon out of the fire. I’d say people finally had enough of tax and spend. What a mandate!

I think it is a bit presumptuous for the 'Roundup, to receive credit for the defeat of Rose and Barton. This was much bigger than that, as that the entire Country was reacting to the last 2 years of the Obama administration and the Democrat Congress by electing Republicans. If you don’t see that you are in denial, big time just like yo’ Prez. I still like the 'Roundup'.

The Roundup is strangely quiet since the election. No posts and very few comments, I guess its hard to say a lot after you have had the wind knocked out of you. Maybe Rocky and the rest of the liberals are waiting for their talking points. Obama claims everything he did was because it was an emergency, it ain’t selling though.

While comparing the election results from Hays and Travis Counties, I was struck by the fact that Hays went totally Republican and Travis went Democrat. Seriously, why is that? More liberals in Travis and more conservatives in hays, there must be a reason.
