Wouldn't it be nice if the local cities weren't afraid to put out "Merry Christmas" signage. "Happy Holidays" makes me cringe.

JESUS JESUS JESUS Take that ACLU!

The Wimberley Springs Community Association received an early Christmas present last week when its President, Winton Porterfield announced that Section 22 of Woodcreek North joined his Association and that he had filed the applicable papers with the County. The move from the WPOA to the WSCA was accomplished by an election where only one property owner in the section of 184 lots voted to stay with the WPOA. This was a welcome present for both the property owners and the Association. Section 22 will now be known as "Neighborhood 22 of Wimberley Springs". Merry Christmas.

And Happy Holidays to all.

Oh yes, Feliz Navidad to all the hard working Immigrants who are here without their families during Christmas.

And Mele Kalikimaka to President Obama and his family who are in Hawaii - while the Rebublicans are in Iowa freezing their tushes off.

@anonymous 9:11 am: you forgot to mention how many of the lots within section 22 already belonged to Wimberley Springs. More than enough to TAKE that section without any further "votes" from other property owners. A very Merry Christmas, indeed!

2 the anon at 11:22 am,

Merry Christmas. You are wrong, a 2/3 vote was needed and WS had nowhere near that many so it required a lot of independent votes in the affirmative. You must be troubled by the fact that there was only one (1) vote to stay with the shrinking wpoa!

"the Republicans"? Just so that it makes you more uncomfortable Rocky, there are plenty of Republicans right here and they didn't "go to Iowa". A few probably even traveled here for the holidays.

From the sensitive probably Republican Anonymous who says:

"Just so that it makes you more uncomfortable Rocky, there are plenty of Republicans right here and they didn't "go to Iowa". A few probably even traveled here for the holidays."

Since most Republicans nowadays can only think in terms of black and white, I guess I need to clarify that when I said "Republicans" I meant the Republican presidential candidates.

Get it, Anonymous? Republican Presidential nomination campaign in Iowa making major headlines in the news? The connection to ultimtately running against Obama? A multicultural Christmas cheer from Hawaii - where Obama is?

Btw, I was born in Hawaii a few years before Obama. I have the exact same birth certificate Obama does. What country should I go back to? C'mon, I know you want to say China or Mother Russia. Or in my case, how about Germany or France, since my family was from the Rhine border area?

And Republicans don't make me uncomfortable. They make me feel right (or left, if you will.)

Again, a politically correct "Feliz Ano Nuevo" to you.

Rocky,

Just seeing your name means that the posting should probably be disregarded because it is going to be off-topic and some rant against all Republicans.

There are a spectrum of political leanings but voters are generally forced to be quantized into two camps - Republican or Democrat. I know that all Democrats aren't bad - just that there is a high density of bad ones in the Wimberley/Woodcreek area.

With respect to your claim that "I have the exact same birth certificate Obama does ", I highly doubt that although I have no problem recognizing that you both are of dubious origin. If you want, however, we can start calling you Barry.

Didn't I say that MOST Republicans can only think in black and white? Clearly not all. There are a few who don't sound like a daily repeat of Sean Hannity.

For instance, you say both Obama and I are from dubious origin?

That comment is a perfect example of why I feel smarter than most Republicans - if in fact they believe such racist nonsense.

But congratulations anyway on being able to use the word "dubious" in a complete sentence.

OK, back to earth I go.

The removal of section 22 required a 2/3's vote of all section 22 property owners. WSP only owns 98 lots; well below the 2/3's required.

There are approximately 147 lots in section 22 which comes out to 49 property owners eligible to vote to join or not join WSP.

Soooo if WSP only needed 26 votes to get the section added to their herd that means that only 27 people voted in the election. Only 27 out of 49 WPOA property owners voted. That means 22 property owners votes were not counted. How did they vote? For or against?

Anonymous said...

OOP's my math was off last night.
There are approximately 183 lots in section 22. This means there are 85 lots not owned by WSP. This also means that there are possibly 85 eligible property owners in section 22 (assuming that each lot is owned by 1 person).
WSP only counted 27 votes other than their own so what about the other 58 property owners? Where are their votes & how did they vote?

Barry,

You said
For instance, you say both Obama and I are from dubious origin?

You said that you had the same birth certificate. This inherently would be problematic as it would cast doubt on the veracity of each of your birth certificates and hence each of your origins.

That comment is a perfect example of why I feel smarter than most Republicans - if in fact they believe such racist nonsense.

There was nothing racist about the comment which was simply a response to your claim that you had the same birth certificate. The only individual that brought "race" into the discussion at all was you.

As to your claim that you "feel smarter than most Republicans", I have no doubt that you have an elitist mentality. Your irrational need to malign those you feel superior to should reveal that you are simply delusional.

OK, back to earth I go.
So along with feeling that you are smarter than Republicans, you also feel that you are not on earth? Maybe we need to revisit the issue of your origin again.

Well regarding the WPOA votes and the remaining 58 voters (your math), the most appropriate thing to be said is that they did not vote to stay with the WPOA

To the Anonymous who posted on December 29, 2011 11:21 am, and said...

"WSP only counted 27 votes other than their own so what about the other 58 property owners? Where are their votes & how did they vote?"

Did it ever occur to you that there might be a lot of people in that section that after suffering under the Servitudes of the WPOA didn't want either POA? They voted, by not voting! That is a legitimate choice, for many people. It is a fact that you don't need any POA.

The mole Anonymous who for some nutty reason calls me Barry is the perfect example of the type of right winger who is bad for America.

He is a birther, i.e. a disquised racist, and lives with narcissistic animosity in his heart.

In the next few day, the Roundup will be posting an article written by me that describes perfectly the mindset behind this faceless and nameless Anonymous and his ilk.

Happy New Year; Feliz Ano Nuevo;, and L'Shana Tova.

If they truly decided that not voting was expressing their displeasure with the WPOA then I respect and honor their choice.

But how do we know whether they voted or not. Maybe they voted to stay with the WPOA but their votes were ignored. All I am saying is if they voted how did they vote?

Have we seen all the votes or have we seen only those votes that WSP wants us to see?

Anonymous said...

To the Snarky Anon who said,

"Have we seen all the votes or have we seen only those votes that WSP wants us to see?"

I guess we could ask that about the current WPOA election! WSP has offered to allow the WPOA to examine the ballots. Will the WPOA allow the same for their Board of Directors Election? I seriously doubt it.

Hey Rocky,

You did say you had the same birth certificate. So either you are Barry or the prez is Rocky.

The birther label is pretty lame. Again you are the one that made the silly claim of having the same birth certificate. As a general matter, the "birther" claims are not racist. As to your next article, no doubt it will be lengthy, full of anti-Republican comments, and the typical rant that you can't disassociate yourself from.
