KXAN News Austin, Tx – More than 4,000 people have said they are attending the “occupation” via the group's Facebook page . And while the rally kicked off with a seemingly slow start Thursday morning, it quickly grew outside City Hall.

Group organizers have said the protest will be peaceful. Still, there are extra officers on hand, as was Austin Fire Department Chief Rhoda Mae Kerr.

What a crock! Communists, anarchists and Socialists have demonstrated before, nothing new here. They all look well fed and Mommy and Daddy have taken care of them so why are they not happy? It is because they are spoiled little brats with too much time on their hands.

Their idol, BHO has screwed up the economy of this once great country and we as a nation have been far too permissive of the these malcontents and this is what we get. They will soon tire of this stupidity and go back to there little holes where the can "tweet" to their heart's desires.

True Patriot's hate rant is a telling and another sad example of the ignorant right wing. To use the word "patriot" in his name is laughable.

He used words like "Communists, anarchists and Socialists." These people are no more communists and socialists than "True Patriot."

The Occupy Wall Street demonstrators are young Americans with no future because people like "Phony Patriot" passively gets drunk on beer and eats obesity chips while watching football in his tacky subdivision with the pro-slavery rebel flag flying as their proud tradition.

Most of the demonstrators are the "true patriots" in this dialogue simply because they are at least taking a stand against the US corporate fascist state that is slowly eroding the middle class and the future of America with their lawless pilfering of the national wealth.

And of course the Tea Party are not "communists or socialists", but they are anarchist, and worse, they are racists and ignorant citizens - pathetic examples of America's uneducated populace - who will take our country deeper into the failed Wall Street wealth sucking abyss unless our young people stand up to their Alzheimer's activism.

When 1% of the United States controls our economy, we are a national plantation. True Patriot is a while slave, but he cannot even see it.

Most of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators see the Wall Street plantation, and at least are trying to do something about it.

They are acting like real patriots, "True Patriot" is only saying he is. Actions speak much louder than words.

Ninety Nine Percent OWC is RIGHT ON! Long live. The country is on the wrong track not because of Obama. It is on the wrong track because of the empty headed tea-pee party n'er do wells, anti-American republicans and their wall street puppet masters. God bless the young protesters. They see the future and it is not the mindless soulless status quo. Times they are a-changin'again. OOH-RAH

@the emancipator

That same 1% also paid over 38% of the total Federal Income Tax while the bottom of 50% only paid 2.7%.

True, have you ever taken an economics course?

The economic downturn started during Bush II's reign. A great many economists link it directly to the Bush II tax cuts, which the TPs want to keep.

I wonder what would happen to the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators if they were to carry weapons to the demonstration area and have signs with Rick Perry's picture associated with Hitler?

I think then we would be able to tell what type of a capitalist police state we live in.

Tea Party hate and their ignorant anti-Obama racism - or Occupy Wall Street's young adult activism. Who would you choose?

And that 1% owns 70% of the national wealth. So they should be paying 70% of the national tax debt.

Anonymous represents the new white slavery in the new American plantation.

While Occupy Wall Street has a point. I seriously doubt the solution is raising taxes and giving Obama a second term.

The real enemy is the Federal Reserve and Banker bailouts. There is no difference between TARP and Obama's stimulus package.

BTW Michael Moore is totally wrong. Capitalism isn't the problem, it is lack Capitalism that is the issue. Wall Street and K Street have captured our government. End crony-Capitalism. Bring back Glass-Steagall for starters. Jail the crooks.

I won't believe corporations are people until Rick Perry executes one.
