Commissioners Court's consideration of Jacob's Well master plan delayed
To all interested: Hays County Commissioners Court will NOT take up consideration of the Jacob's Well Natural Area Master Plan at its Tuesday May 1 meeting. Previously, the RoundUp reported the plan most likely would be on the court's May 1 agenda, according to county grants administrator Jeff Hauff. Hauff told the RoundUp, "I can almost assure you it would be the May 1 meeting." Alas, it did not make it on the agenda. We have a note in to Mr. Hauff and Commissioner Will Conley asking for the reason for the delay.
The master plan, with its estimated cost of $3.6 million, lately has taken on renewed interest from alert citizens. Some are expressing concerns that the master plan, as drafted, will lead to over-development of Jacob's Well and contradicts basic preservation principles for natural areas.

I betchya Conley wants the JWNA master plan to be considered by Commissioners Court AFTER the May 29 primaries. He knows county residents have many questions that he doesn't want to face.
I betcha you are right.
There is no way Conley, or his sycophant supporters on the left and the right, want to face this music in public.
His yaya is hanging out on this one.
I'll bet money on Conley being the main reason behind the delay. Par for the course.
What a jerk Conley is, protecting water in the county and at the same time fostering development.
He is simply a bad guy and we can all blame him for our misery.
Will Conley, Come out! Come out! Wherever you are! You can't hide under your bed forever.
Show up at forums to answer our questions; quit dodging them.
Allow the JWNA Master Plan to come before the Commissioners Court (BEFORE the primaries). We have questions about that.
Tell us why the Grand Parkway ended up costing 4 1/2 times ($111 million) what the original 4-lane road would have cost ($24.1 million).
Why did you appoint a felon (who also has a less-than-honest wife) to a county transportation board?
Surely you know a few upright people in Hays County.
See you at the San Marcos LWV forum on Monday, May 7,7 pm? That's at the San Marcos Activity Center on Hopkins Street, next to the public library. Don't get lost!
There is nothing on the May 8 Commissioners Court agenda concerning the Master Plan for Jacob's Well Natural Area.
