Tired of the same old view?

Looking for some new choices?

How about we give the Democrats and Republicans both something to worry about next time they figure they have the whole shootin' match sewed up and we have no where else to look to for good candidates?

Please sign the petition so we can at least see Green Party candidates on our ballots . . . http://ballotaccess.txgreens.org/#share

Oh my God. The Green Party?

What's next? Oil companies being required to drill safely and responsibly? Big corporations having to respect consumers and citizens? Corrupt corporate executives spending time in jail for criminal behavior?

Why, a Green Party would require intelligent voters. What is Texas coming to?

Come on, polluter Bubba, let's hear your trash.

Yes, of course, that’s just what we need, those nut-cases who have screwed up just about everything that was working in America! However, it will take votes away from the Demoncrats which could be a good thing. Yup, bring it on.

A viable Green Party would never have allowed the Gulf oil devastation to occur nor would the miners have been killed because coal mining would have been stopped twenty years ago.

The bubba republicans and the greedy democrats are the ones destroying our country. And the tea baggers are too stupid to run a country.

A good idea; but Texans are probably too ignorant to understand a Green Party.

What really makes you think the Green Party will be able to do anything in this county or anywhere else in Texas --- even in Austin/Travis County?

Susan, you are a good person and you mean well, but if the Green Party, a Ralph Nader creation, could not maintain a national presence all these years what could it possibly do here in Texas?

Since we have the 2-Party system being controlled by the 1-Party Corporate-Military Complex, we need to get more issue-centered, balanced, ethical and intelligent people into each of the two parties. It will be hard enough to do that. Forget about starting another party here and having great expectations that are not reality-based, especially in the short-term.

Don't get me wrong. Ralph Nader did a lot of good for the American consumer, but there is a part of him that has become as unbalanced as the Republicans and Democrats he fights against.

The Green Party is not a solution for Texas or for Hays County, rather, it may add to the problem. There are too few supporters and too many special interests that will use a 3rd party to their own interests and advantage.

For example, look at what Independents did in the last two gubernatorial races here. They divided the voters and permitted Perry, that waste of human flesh, to get reelected.

Perry most likely will get reelected this time around as well. There is a reason that an incumbent governor gets reelected year after year with only 39 percent of the total votes and it ain't due to his popularity.

Stern,

The US Green Party was not a Nader creation. It was a Europe-created party that he jumped on in the US when the Independent Party went more, well, independent.

Your definition of the Green Party may be flawed and could reincarnate into something good if it focuses on small business and individual freedom with environmental intelligence.

And any Party, by your definition, can be corrupted by special interests. So what do we do? Start the Stern Party, as in Star Party?

Ralph, you continue to argue for argument sake. Nader helped found the Green Party in the U.S. He ran for President in 1996 and 2000 as a greenie. He lost twice, not even close.

I told you in the last string what we need to do. You must have a limited attention span.

What are you babbling about re: the Stern Party? or Star Party? If you have something to say, communicate it. You really need to start reading your own junk. Maybe you will be able to change your obnoxious and condescending posts.

Stern,

You are right. I need to just say what I mean to say.

You, Stern are a phony self-absorbed know it all who has all he correct conservative things to say but you have no courage to put yourself out into the political arena.

Your self-anointed "legend in your own mind" posts are BS unless you offer real solutions other than we need to do this and we need to do that.

Quit criticizing all the politicians for how corrupt and ignorant they are and get out there and mix it up. IF you can do a better job than most, do it and shut up.

You sit in your lair listing all your credentials but are probably living off some dole while the rest of us are working in the real world.

Talk is cheap and lazy, Action is the only real courage.

Peter,

You are getting too defensive given Ralph's comments. He is basically correct on this one. I read your posts and your diatribes border on blowhard intellectualism.

I respect you in that you list your name for everyone to see but you can be a patronizing idealist as well. Forget your intelligent libertarian fantasy world and offer constructive tangible solutions rather than praying that politicians all of a sudden become honest and smart - and think like you.

It is clear you don't like to be confronted. You argue even if the criticism is true. That is obnoxious as well.

Don't let it get to you, Ralph, the Stern Party is what Stern really wants. But he is too shadowy to just come out and say it.

But no one is perfect. At least Stern let's his conservative and Republican buds know - in an intellegent way - they are out on the fringes.

I get the feeling you don't want to cross him though. Testy is an understatement.

Peter Stern and Ralph. Both big boys with teenage egos. An intellectual pissing match that adds nothing to the dialogue.

Get a life, kids.

Sorry, there is nothing intellectual about Ralph's posts and I just am sick of it. But you make a point and I will refrain from responding to Ralph in the future. Hope he will agree to reciprocity.
