Palin used to "hustle over the border" to Canada for health care – You betcha!

This from a recent report in the Huffinton Post by Sam Stein: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/08/palin-crossed-border-for_n_490080.html

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin – who has gone to great lengths to hype the supposed dangers of a big government takeover of American health care – admitted over the weekend that she used to get her treatment in Canada's single-payer system.

"We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada," Palin said in her first Canadian appearance since stepping down as governor of Alaska. "And I think now, isn't that ironic?"

The irony, one guesses, is that Palin now views Canada's health care system as revolting: with its government-run administration and 'death-panel'-like rationing. Clearly, however, she and her family once found it more alluring than, at the very least, the coverage available in rural Alaska. Up to the age of six, Palin lived in a remote town near the closest Canadian city, Whitehorse.

Officials at several hospitals in that area declined to give out information on patient visits.

Please, all you Republicans, make sure Bimbo Palin is your party's nominee for the 2012 Presidential race.

We liberals and progressives would love the world to see her for who she really is - a phony, exploitive-of-stupidity, hate-filled female goober. We would love to have Obama run against her and debate her.

On the other hand, a friend is deadly afraid that if Palin were nominated, there are enough very ignorant Americans who might actually put her in the White House because Obama has disappointed too many young people and progressives and they would not vote for him.

I believe the 55% of smart Americans would never allow Palin to destroy our country by putting her in the Presidency.

If you want to speed up the Apocalypse, get her in the White House.

What else is new about Palin.

What is amazing is the Tea Baggers and the mindless right wingers are mainly made up of lower income white people who can't afford good health care yet they support the monopolistic corporate medical-industrial complex who rip them off and numb their minds and bodies with drugs.

These Wall Street health care providers are the ones who make doctors stupid by "educating" them with their profit-motivated, patient be damned "research" disguised as sales literature.

The truth is angry anti-government Americans believe they are independent thinkers but they are really mindless believers of corporate lies and for-profit brainwashing.

We see it with water companies, coal companies, health insurance companies, mining companies, banks, etc.

Close to half of Americans are lying to themselves about their free thinking. They are not free; they are well meaning fools.

The idolatry of Sarah Palin, among others, is a perfect example of that self-deception.

Puhlease.
The difference you folks fail to recognize is that Palin had choices and was able to exercise choices. She used the Canadian system for convenience, however, she was never limited to accepting only what the Canadian system was willing to provide. She has argued for choice.
What she is arguing against today is the government-mandated system being the only system people are permitted to choose from or work for. At least in her case she might still have the choice.
If this was such a great plan, why do you think Congress would exempt themselves?

Hey Puhlease. Puhlease!

Don't you get it? The mandate takes the uninsured off your tax-funded emergency services and "free" medical service rolls which you dumb-ass anti-government people are paying for with federal and other taxes. Also, the "free" health care not currently mandated by the system makes your health insurance premiums higher because the hospitals and clinics write off the unpaid costs and raise medical fees to the insurable to cover the write offs. Do I need to explain health care inflation to you as well?

By wanting the government out of your lives, you allow the government and the health providers to reach into your wallet another way.

Wake up, goober. Nothing is free. Not even you poor education - exemplified by your lack of not that complex analysis.

You mindless anti-government people are either blind or stupid. Get an education so the rest of us don't have to hear Sarah Palin in all of you.
