When Romney Came to Town

A Super-PAC friendly to GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will soon be blanketing South Carolina with a reported $3.4 million advertising buy that will include a 28-minute movie entitled "When Mitt Romney Came to Town." It is a powerful critique, to say the least, of Romney's time as CEO of Bain Capital. The trailer, posted on YouTube, is just beginning to make the rounds . . .

Mitt Romney will get the Republican nomination because he is the choice of the right wing 1% crowd.

His nomination will be the perfect example of how the right wing middle class is powerless and have been neutralized by the rich.

Romney is a true conservative's nightmare. And if they can ever admit it, Romney is the front runner because all these so-called Tea Party congressmen and women are nothing more than puppets of the real power in America.

Ironically, Romney is the Obama of the right wing corporatists.

Think about it. Of all the presidential candidates of both parties, Obama and Romney have by far gotten the most money from the Wall Street bankers-industrialists.

As Romney runs through the primaries, the right wingers will compliantly fall in line and revere the man who became an elitist free markets icon by getting rich at the expense of tens of thousands of American workers.

Romney will be nominated - because all your guns, your religious beliefs, your free markets rhetoric, your back to the US Constitution rants - means nothing when Wall Street cracks the political whip to tell everyone who to vote for.

The nation fell for Obama's BS in 2008, the young Tea Party was highjacked by the right wing elitist money in 2010, and now the remaining swing independents are all being led down to the crossroads by Willard Romney and his Wall Street aristocracy with the false promise of some elusive job.

See, right wingers, admit it. You have no power. If you did, you certainly wouldn't feel so helpless you have to fall back on Romney as your leader.

And what is funny, in the end, you will lose to Obama - because he has already raised TWICE as much money from the Wall Street bankers-brokers than Romney.

This is another example of the Republicans starting to self-destruct at the behest of the mainstream media. The inordinate number of debates allowing the candidates to slam each other and the media to make sport of them, is playing right into the hands of the Democrats. The left wing media may deny the people the chance to elect a replacement for the most dangerous man to ever serve as President.

Whoever in the national Republican party that allowed so many debates should be fired. He/She probably thought the debates would give the candidates more free air time to beat up on Obama; instead they are beating up on each other and putting a smile on the face of the likes of, George Soros. The national Democrat party can take the year off since their allies in the media are doing all of the work.

The kiss of death for any Republican candidate right now is to get ahead in the polls. The candidates are acting like crabs in a bucket, when one rises to the top to get out the others pull him back in. Right now Huntsman is the safest, presently but let him creep up in the polls and the media will certainly pull another rabbit out of the hat for him. We will probably end up with another mediocre candidate like John McCain and end up with the same result.

Any of the Republicans running would make a better President than Obama but due to the efforts of the media, Soros and the misguided National Republican Party, we may never see that.

Sorry, but the scapegoating of some faux "liberal press" is just another sign of right wing denial of the real power in American politics.

Follow the money, ITYS. Therein lies your real electoral failures.

Until you stop blaming everyone but your own gullibility, you will continue to be stuck with your redundant anger and your false boogeymen.

And yes, O'Romany is another John McCain.

To: I told you so

You do not get it.

The media isn't in favor of one over the other, the media is also controlled by the Wall Street 1% that desire Obama, or Obama Light (Romney). They don't really care, both are already bought.

All the bankers, insurance cos., etc want is the status quo, keep the illusion of unlimited growth as a desired destination.

Sad truth, as energy gets more and more expensive, and our debt amasses more interest that the USA takes out loans to repay, we cannot sustain unlimited growth, or even "sustainable growth" (a crack addict term if I ever heard one).

As the cliff is coming in sight, shall we take steps to slow the train? Hell no, not if we want to keep our schedule! Slowing the train is not profitable. The Wall Street 1% want profits until we crash. Insiders are selling. The 1% are building compounds with rock walls around them on Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyards. we must prepare ourselves in whatever manner we see appropriate.

There are no experts to tell us the way to prepare. Read up on Argentina in the late 1990's early 2000's and see what went down there.

What does the Wall Street 1% fear?

The second place finisher in NH!

There’s a reason America’s political system SUCKS, and it will never, EVER be fixed.

It’s never going to get any better; don’t look for it; be happy with what you’ve got.
Because the owners - the owners of this country - don't want the political system fixed. I'm talking about the real owners now, the BIG owners! The Wealthy… the REAL owners! The big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions.

Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You have no choice! You have OWNERS! They OWN YOU. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear.

They got you by the cajones.

They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying to get what they want. And we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else.

But I'll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests.

That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting ripped off by a system that threw them overboard 30 years ago. They don’t want that!

You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly crappy jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pensions that disappear the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money.

Yes, they want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street.

And you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later because they own this place! It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it! You, and I, are not in the big club.

By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long they are beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy.

The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care! Good honest hard-working people; white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, and these are people of modest means, continue to elect these rich jerks who don’t give a damn about you.

They don’t care about you AT ALL.

And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on: The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue flag that you are being shafted with everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth.

It’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.

You Class Warfare people are beginning to get very boring. You have always been among us since then beginning of Marxism in the early part of the last century. God was probably talking about you when he said, "Thou shalt not covet". Jealousness and Greed are your main characteristics. You are really the 1% in this country and you deserve to live in Afghanistan where you would really have something to complain about.

To Anon, 11:40 PM:

What you refer to as us "Class Warfare people" are in the majority, bonehead -- not you. See article in today's Austin newspaper -- and probably on TV news tonight in case you can't read without moving your lips. More than 1/2 the population perceive/understand that the rich are getting richer and the middle class and poor are getting poorer.

All of a sudden republicans are falling all over themselves defending Romney's evil version of capitalism. They are all a bunch of greedy misguided sinners and fools. Pillars of salt.

Rocky Boschert said...

With all due respect to Anonymous of January 13, 2012 1:40 PM, your talk about "class warfare" is something you bought from the Fox News hate crowd.

Having a more balanced distribution of a healthy capitalist economy is not class warfare, it is good for everyone.

It is humorously ironic when someone says "thou shall not covet" is the sin of those of us who want to see a more healthy and sustainable US economy.

Clearly, to real Christians the 1% crowd that you defend are the sinners as they are the ones who are the "covetors" of the nation's wealth.

And now they want NO boundaries or rules stopping them from continual "coveting."

Your ignorance, Sir, about who is greedy and who is not, is the real sin here.

Re-read the Bible as it was written, not as re-written by the right wing elite corporatists and their supplicant politicians who are now responsible for our Nation's ethical, cognitive and spiritual degradation.

The Bible says:

"If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest (Exodus 22:25).

"He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment" (Proverbs 12:11).

"A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor" (Proverbs 22:9).

So I guess to you Anonymous, Jesus and his disciples were Marxists?

There exists a very dangerous right wing mindset amongst some of you.

More of me said...

Also,

Ecclesiastes 5:10:

"Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless."

Matthew 6:24

“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

Romans 13:7:

"Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor".

Hebrews 6:10:

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them."

Job 40:12:

"Look at every proud man and humble him, crush the wicked where they stand."

Luke 1:52:

"He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble."

Mark 9:35:

"Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

Re-read the Bible, Dude, and get in line with the real spirituality.

The video "King of Bain" has been discredited by fact checkers. Several major papers including the Boston Globe and Washington Post have published articles detailing the film's falsifications. Just google 'King of Bain fact check'.

Rocky Boschert said...

As Retrocom tries to discredit the incredulous critics of the corporation known as Romney, he is inadvertently pointing out an already known truth: Republican produced political attacks are almost always faulty and abusive of the facts.

What is still true regardless of Gingrich's attack dog video is:

1) Romney pays about a 15% aggregate tax rate.

Comparatively, single working Americans pay a 25% to 35% tax rate on all taxable income over $34,500.00 a year and married filing joinly couples pay 25% to 35% on all taxable income over $69,000.00 a year.

2) Romney makes about $40,000 a speech, while the average middle class American salary is about $50,000 for an entire year.

And hard working blue collar laborers make even less in many cases.

3) Romney has not worked in years - living nicely off the interest, dividends, and capital gains generated from the billions he made dismantling and reselling struggling multi-employee businesses.

I ask you a serious question, Retrocon: Is this a man that is supposed to understand the average conservative middle class working person in America?

Romney is sadly out of touch with most Americans - except of course for his super rich cronies and Republican voters who will sell out their conservative middle and working class values just to unseat the "food stamp" President Obama.

If all you right wingers want in life is for the stock market to go up for a few weeks if Romney wins - but don't care about much higher unemployment and lower and lower working wages for your children in the long run, vote for Romney.
