- The RoundUp was launched in March of 2008 because the newspapers here are, shall we say, a little too deferential to the local elected officials and politicians. They (the papers) are in survival mode. They can't afford to rock the boat. Many of our public officials are getting a free ride off the taxpayers as well as a free ride from the press. What a deal they have! The RoundUp stepped into the gap with hopes of providing a small measure of balance to this lopsided picture. Our aim is to deliver good solid reporting and commentary that you will not find in the local newspapers. Editor Ochoa is an award-winning journalist with 18 years of newspaper reporting experience under his hat and 8 more as a high school journalism and photography teacher. Ochoa is preparing for some bombshell articles that will turn the US economy around and make Texas a well run state for the first time. It will not be a welfare state nor will it be a corporate lackey energy and waste pollution state (like it is now).
I really miss HCR. I have been taking antidepressants since it's absence. I miss making fun of the right wing nuts who express their hate and stupidity via the blog.
See, liberals admit their depression. Right wingers deny it and create bogus wars and false failing economy causes like immigration and welfare. They love the corporate warfare state but hate compassion for their fellow human beings. Sad but true.
I hope Bob is okay and returns soon. He and I don't agree on a lot except that this is a Great Blog Site.
